Graduating fashion design portfolio, 2015/2016.

The idea was to redefine the common stereotype of "Chinese" textiles. These fabrics, with their typical Chinese motifs, have been used on everything from furnishings to clothing; thus, their illustrious history connotes costume, tradition, and border-line gaudiness. Partly due to their representation in film and reality as something you'd only see in lavish gatherings, I wanted to recreate these textiles to something more street and ready-to-wear so as to give Chinese textiles new life.

This is still an ongoing project. 3 chosen looks are currently in construction.
